At Days of Architecture 10.0 in Brela, the Croatian Chamber of Architects awarded Hrvoje Bota and the Održivo project team a special recognition in the category of Innovation and Sustainability in Architecture.
The recognised project is the regenerative micro-farm Mrvica itself, in Bisko. It is a built argument for an architecture that participates in its ecosystem rather than consuming it: natural local materials (wood, lime, hemp), passive holistic permaculture design, energy from sustainable sources, organic food production on regenerative principles, and a life lived in cooperation with the surrounding landscape for the benefit of the local economy and community.
Thanks to the Croatian Chamber of Architects for the recognition, and to every collaborator on the Održivo team who helped take Mrvica from drawings into the ground.
